The Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2 Person Tent will allow any Wanderer to tackle your outdoor adventure with style and comfort. This roof top tent is easy for one person to deploy when you reach your wild destination. The 28 sq ft of comfortable interior accommodations includes a 2.4" thick high density foam mattress with removable/washable cover.


The optional annex adds both privacy and convenience. The extra space is perfect for changing and storing all your bags while you sleep comfortably in the Sky Ridge above. Once you are in your roof top tent you can enjoy the nature around you with the skylight and three large windows with mosquito netting.

Why is the roof top tent so expensive?

It's true, roof top tents are expensive. This is because they are made with FAR better materials than typical ground tents. Because roof top tents don't need to be moved around constantly by a single person they can be made of heavier, better quality materials.


This tent has heavy duty polyester/cotton canvas to keep the cold and elements out. The frame is made from aircraft-grade aluminum with a solid aluminum base for strength and durability. And we can't forget the 2.4" high-density foam mattress! Good night's sleep...here we come!

How does a roof top tent actually work?

Good question! Once it is up on your vehicle, it is quite easy to deploy.


1. Remove the cover

2. Extend ladder.

3. Leaver tent open with ladder.

4. Extend rain flaps with the tension rods.

5. Enjoy!

What type of vehicle can this roof top tent go on?

One of the great things about this tent is that it is a great size for most vehicles. No, it won't work on your Mazda Miata. Sorry. But it will fit on most midsized sedans, wagons, vans, and trucks.

Will it damage my vehicle?

Usually this question is about height. If your vehicle has a roof rack, then the owner's manual will have a load capacity. What you need to know about load capacity, is that it is usually referring to how much the rack can hold while traveling down the freeway, not while it is standing still. When a vehicle is stopped, it can hold FAR more weight. So, there is no need to worry when you climb into bed at night.


For example, a 2016 Mazda cx-5 has a load capacity of 168 lbs. This tent weighs only 108 lbs. A CX-5 can carry this tent just fine. 


In short, if your vehicle has a load capacity of more than 108 lbs., then you should be just fine.

Are roof top tents safe?

Someone once made a comment about my roof top tent saying, "What an idiot, you'll just blow over." Besides not being very nice, he is also quite wrong. I guess he was thinking I would be driving down the road with the tent open...? Well, that would make me an idiot.


No, your vehicle will not blow over with your tent open. And it would take a MASSIVE amount of wind to blow your tent down.


I guess the main thing you want to be careful with is climbing up and down the ladder. Other than that, they are just as safe (if not more) than a ground tent.
